michael saiaA native New Yorker, Michael studied music at Hunter College and trained as a jazz drummer with Freddie Waits and Tony Williams, and in Milt Hinton's Jazz workshop. He began working as a sound/music editor until making the transition to film editorial. Now he works with directors such as Jeff Preiss, Victor Garcia, Lance Accord, Olivier Venturini, and James Gartner. Recently he worked on Gartner's feature film Glory Road and short film Vuelo. Michael's awards include a Clio, three honoree entrants in New York City's Museum of Modern Art, and two London International Awards.
